FILL YOUR LAMP WITH OIL.

It's easy to grow discontent and frustrated during periods of waiting.
It feels as if your life is on pause.
That nothing is happening.
That God has forgotten about you.
All of those promises and prophecies that you have been holding onto are becoming faint memories.
You begin to wonder: “Did God really say?”
The temptation to rush or push things is strong. To take matters into your own hands.
You want something to shift. You need to see change.
You are tired of ‘now’ - you want to see ‘next’.
This is where faith comes in.
Real faith. The kind of faith that moves the heart and hand of God.
Hold on to what you cannot yet see.
Believe what God said even when the evidence seems to point elsewhere.
Live with confident expectation that you will experience the goodness of God.
Remain faithful where we are, even if it’s not where we want to be.
Recall how you have seen God’s faithfulness again and again.
Prepare. Remain alert. Keep your heart pure.
Hold firmly to these truths:
God is good; God is for me; God does not lie.
Have a relentless hope, an unshakable resolve; an unwavering confidence.
God is writing a story. You are part of it. This chapter may not be centred on you. But you still have a key role in the plot.
Don't permit discouragement to diminish your joy.
Don't allow the long wait to cause you to wander.
Don’t settle for second best or inferior options.
Don’t slumber or lose your focus.
Don't underestimate the significance of this season.
Just because you can't see a lot of activity or change, doesn't mean that there isn't much happening.
God is shifting and shaking things in the invisible/spiritual realm. Soon you see it in your life.
The change will happen more suddenly and will be more significant than you can possibly imagine.
Get ready now.
Trim your wick. Fill your lamp with oil.
Because, when it happens, it will happen quickly and unexpectedly.

Matthew 25:3-4
The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.

Psalm 27:13-14
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Romans 4:19-20
Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead - since he was about a hundred years old - and that Sarah's womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God…
