THREE KEYS TO ENTERING THE PEACE OF GOD
JESSE SHAMP

Here are three keys to enter into the peace of God:

1. Put on the helmet of salvation.

The helmet of salvation is the mind of Christ, which is peace, faith, hope and love. You can't have the peace of God without faith, hope and love. Paul said that these three remain (1 Corinthians 13:13).

2. Don't be anxious; learn to give things to the Lord.

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)

Go to God in prayer for whatever you need. Pray until you feel a peace about it. Thank God that He has already provided what you prayed and asked for.

"Therefore, I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted to you." (Mark 11:24)

3. Know that the peace of Christ is not the peace of this world.

"Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]" (John 14:27)

The peace of God is not to be compared with what the world calls peace. The world's peace is found in drugs, sex and alcohol. It's man's attempt to remove pressures and anxiety through carnal things that lead to death instead of life.

God's peace is not dependent upon what you have, or don't have. It is a peace that surpasses all understanding. God's peace can reach you anywhere and in every circumstance. Peace is a sound mind in the midst of crisis.
Peace is knowing that you can trust God with the outcome of what you are currently facing. It is unwavering faith in God and His love that brings peace.

You can't experience the peace that surpasses all understanding without understanding what Jesus accomplished for us on the Cross. He said, "It is finished."

• Jesus overcame the enemy
• He brought you back into right standing with God.
• He delivered you from the curse of the law.
• He stablished His covenant with you.
• He made a way for you to experience the fullness of salvation.

The peace of God is available always, under every circumstance. If we are not experiencing the peace of God it may be that we are lacking understanding of who He is. It may be that we are not trusting, believing and relying on Him to be who He promises He is.

The peace of God is not dependent upon what you have or don't have; it's not dependent upon others. The peace of God is eternal security, faith, obedience, relationship with Him.

Jesus says, "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid" (John 14:27).

When Jesus meets His disciples after the resurrection, He continually says to them, "Peace" (John 20:19, 21, 26).

I pray you enter peace today, my friends!
