Even though the gifts and calling are irrevocable, the Lord can shift the actual anointing and assignment to someone who will use it. The person who had it still has the ability to recover later if they pursue it.

I know there are some things going on which are not good. Right beside them are some things which are good. You have a choice upon which ones to focus. Of course I want you to choose the good ones. You will be much happier and much more contented if you do. To make your life better, acknowledge the things which are bad. Do not ignore them, but settle in on the good I have done.
