Most people stay in the “I’ll pray about it” mode.
Many people are driven by fear over faith. Maybe people are afraid of doing something from their own strength, so they don’t do anything at all. This is what I see the most as a prophetic life coach.
Also, there are some teachings going around that encourage people to wait on God to open the doors and not to do anything themselves. Now, it’s true. You want to wait. There is a value in waiting, but there are things that you can do while you’re waiting. You don’t have to wait passively.
I remember waiting on the Lord to be released into ministry. I was working a corporate job in the San Francisco Bay area back in the 90s and I knew God had a call on my life. Instead of passively waiting—because it was discouraging me—I started doing things that would help me towards the calling I felt. So, I started reading books, taking courses, going to conferences, doing small things over time and it shifted the spiritual atmosphere. Then, when it was time to go, I was prepared.
