Today the USA celebrates freedom and becoming a nation. I was taught in church as a teenager that I was a free moral agent. God gave us the freedom to choose. This is all good. But at a sub- atomic, sub-molecular level, we are not free. We are connected. The choices we make affect others. God is asking, "Are your choices blessing others or hurting them?" He urges us, saying, "People, use your freedom to love not hate. I love you. Love others." James 2:8 (NKJV) "If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well."
