Israel, Greece, Cyprus ink natural gas pipeline deal

Israel, Greece and Cyprus sign an agreement to build a pipeline to carry natural gas to Europe, while the United States pledged its support for the ambitious $7 Billion project. Italy is also a partner in the pipeline’s planning.

Intel employs 11,000 people in Israel. Its export from Israel last year was $3.6 billion and it is the largest multinational in terms of investments in Israel amounting to $35 billion. Over the past decade, Intel paid local retailers and service suppliers a total of $10 billion.

Medtronic has completed its $1.3 billion all-cash acquisition of surgical robotics company Mazor Robotics. The Israel-based company will now be part of Medtronic’s neurosurgery business. Mazor is considered a pioneer in the field of surgical robotic guidance systems.
