Che Ahn

Che Ahn: "Discovering Jesus – God the Son"

Revival is in the air. Right now God is preparing His Church for something new—something big—that will come with a fresh wave of His presence and His glory.

And what is at the center of it all? Discovering the person of Jesus.

A Lesson in Perfect Theology

As Bill Johnson has said, Jesus is perfect theology. We only have to look to Him to see what our eternal God is like. And we only have to continue pursuing Him—our First Love—as we contend for the next season of revival.

Now is the perfect time—more than ever—to remember everything that Jesus Christ has done for us.

Here are three primary reasons why Jesus came to earth:

1. To die on the cross for our sins.

"Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." –Matt. 20:28

2. To reveal the nature and character of God.

"Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father." –Jesus (John 14:9)

3. To set an example for us to follow.

"Imitate Me, just as I also imitate Christ." –1 Cor. 11:1

Who is this Savior?

When I talk about Jesus, I want to be emphatically clear: Jesus is God!

The eternal Word, Jesus, created the universe as God, who never had a beginning (John 1:1-3). Jesus is One with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit:

"For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." –Col. 2:9

In full recognition of His identity, Jesus unapologetically received worship from His followers (see John 9:38, 20:28).

Fully God, Fully Man

Jesus Christ is 100% God, and He is also 100% man.

He entered into our world as a defenseless child, born to the virgin Mary, with a human lineage. We read in Hebrews that Jesus learned obedience through a very human experience, something we all go through:

"Though He was God's Son, He learned trusting-obedience by what He suffered, just as we do." –Heb. 5:8 (The Message)

In a similar fashion, Jesus also grew in wisdom and stature, and He was only able to function in complete dependence upon His Father (Luke 2:52; John 5:19).

"Come, Follow Me"

Let's answer the divine call to come follow Him. Here are three specific things about Jesus that we should follow:

1. Jesus Was Without Sin.

"For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin." –Heb. 4:15

2. Jesus Had Perfect Intimacy With The Father.

"...that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me." –Jesus (John 17:21)

3. Jesus Had Perfect Faith In The Father.

"Have faith in God." –Mark 11:22

Receive the grace to follow Him by faith, and watch as the Holy Spirit takes you deeper than you could ever imagine.

Much Love,
