並且照明你們心中的眼睛,使你們知道祂的恩召有何等指望,祂在聖徒中得的基業有何等豐盛的榮耀;

Becoming Like Him - The Great Commission, Part 28
Week 28, 2014
Rick Joyner

The only way to have a Christian worldview is to abide in Christ so that we see with His eyes, hear with His ears, and understand with His heart. As we are told in Ephesians 4:15: “but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ.” This is the daily resolve of a true disciple—to learn of their Master, becoming like Him and doing the works He did.

When we are born again, we begin the journey to become the “new creation” we are called to be. This new creation is made in the image of the “last Adam,” Christ, not the first Adam. The new creation is literally a new species. We are still in the body of flesh, but we are given a new spiritual nature that we grow up into. We are in both the natural world and the spiritual world. As we mature, we become more at home in the spiritual than the natural.

As we do this, we begin to see into the spiritual realm more. When we start seeing angels more, it is not necessarily that angels are entering the natural realm, but we are entering their realm. Ultimately, we should be like the prophet Elisha who, when an entire army was coming against him, was not disturbed because he could see the heavenly army that was on his side. It was for this reason that Paul wrote in Ephesians 1:18-21:

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might

which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.

When the eyes of our hearts—our spiritual eyes—are opened, we begin to see from the Lord’s perspective. Then we will see from the position of His throne, and all our cares and worries, the temporary things of this world, will begin to look very small and the coming kingdom look very big. As we learn to live in this place, we begin to “reign in life” because we are seated in a place of authority with Christ far above any other authority, power, or dominion. Then we can preach the good news of the coming kingdom from a position in the kingdom.
